Wedding Anniversary and Sick Baby

Chris and I celebrated our anniversary on June 21st. It's been five very fun and busy years! It was my idea to celebrate by going to a Rockies game. We had such a great time, and the Rockies won the game! We started off by having a couple of beers on a rooftop restaurant/bar accross the street from Coors Field, so we snapped this shot. We still can't believe how much we love baseball now!

Drew had a week or two under the weather, which caused Chris and I to both miss some work staying home with him. Doesn't he look so sad and pathetic here?

Fortunately everyone is doing fine now...
I had Clare's hair cut shorter than usual, so it's more of a medium length, and much easier to comb and brush. When we first had it done she said, "I look like Ivy!"

Chris usually gets Clare ready for school, which entails applying plenty of sunscreen.

Happy Birthday to Drew!

I can't believe it's been a year since Drew was born!

I baked him a chocolate cake for his birthday yesterday, but in the afternoon, I could tell he wasn't quite his fun self, so we decided to have cake early in case he crashed super early or something. He definitely looks out of it in all of these pictures we took yesterday on his birthday. He had a snotty nose, but I don't think he was really sick, maybe just really tired?

Clare went to a friend's birthday party earlier in the day without mommy and daddy. The face paint is about halfway rubbed off in these photos.

Not as messy as we expected...

Earlier yesterday...

I was going to start weaning Drew from breastfeeding just after his first birthday, but he decided rather abruptly that he was finished a few days ago. I figured if he was so ready to be a big boy, we should try to ditch bottles too. I'm not sure how well it's going. He isn't drinking much milk, whether it's in a bottle or sippy cup. I'm making sure he's getting yogurt and water to make up for what he might be missing. To be honest, I feel kind of confused about the whole situation at the moment.

It's so cute how well Clare and Drew play together. They both really like to play in the bathtub.
