Our Little Princess

You know, it's funny the things you say BEFORE you have a kid. You know...you're wife is pregnant and you say things like "our baby will never use a pacifier," or "our baby will never wear cheesy outfits with Disney characters on them." Yeah...right. Well Clare all of a sudden has become infatuated with girly things. Dresses mainly and she likes to refer to herself as a "princess." Of course I think it's great that she likes dresses but it's so much easier putting her in jeans. It's almost impossible to get her into pants these days though which can be a problem when you live in Colorado and it's winter. Anyway, today we were at Target and Clare saw these pajamas and we figured pajamas would be fine and she loves this "dress" so much we had to get it for her. Of course she wanted to wear it immediately so here's a picture of Clare in her new princess dress. She wanted to sleep in it and asked "please daddy." That was an easy one since it's supposed to be slept in. She just thought it was a dress. I guess the tough part will be telling her she can't wear it to school tomorrow.

Catching Up

I haven't been very good about keeping this blog up to date but here's some pictures and some news. Of course on top of what you see here, we're still getting snow on a pretty regular basis. I don't mind it but Clare says "It's too much snow."

This is a picture during December when we were taking Clare to have her picture taken with Santa. She didn't sitting on an old mans lap she had never seen before so THAT picture is lousy. This picture on the other hand turned out really nice.

Debra had a great idea when she bought this for Clare. It's a little blow up toy full of plastic balls. When Clare puts then in the top they spiral down the center tube and drop into the bottom. We had a lot of fun tossing them into the top from across the room.

This is me trying to be creative during breakfast. I also made a snowman but the face was hard to get right since it was so small. Clare seemed to enjoy them though.

Last weekend Debra and Clare and I went up to Breckinridge to look at a snow sculpting championship. It was fun but the hour and a half drive up was over four hours coming back. OUCH. The top photo of the man was the grand prize winner.

In this picture Debra crouched down so she could be on the same level as Clare but Clare figured she was supposed to crouch down too. She cracks me up.

And to finish, here's a picture Debra took of Clare and I. Doesn't Clare look cool in those pink shades?
