Drew is Two!
Drew had his second birthday on May 31st. It's hard to believe how fast the time is going. Drew is changing and talking so much now. He's at that age where he wants to do things himself, but he really can't do many of those things yet. Lately he likes to say, "I'm a big boy." He's so cute, and I'm really going to miss this stage when he gets older.
I feel kind of bad that we didn't do much to celebrate, but we'll make more of a big deal about it in the years to come. I made a really cheesy looking cake. I had made this recipe in the past, and it was delicious, but this time I totally screwed up and overbaked it. (I baked it based on one large sheetcake pan instead of two rounds.) Dope!
I think Drew only ate two bites. I can't blame him.
Here he's playing with his present from Nana and Papa.

Maybe he looks sad here because we only got him a $3 gift.
Drew wouldn't wear a birthday hat, but everyone else was a great sport!
I guess we got him in the hat long enough to take a picture later that day
With his $3 present from us
Denise: Isn't this the funny smile Grandma used to have in some pictures?!
Dean, Sharon, Brendon and Lauren sent this fun water table. Thanks you guys! Drew was so excited when we set it up, we let him go out in his pajamas.
More summer fun in the backyard
Drew reminds me of Elton John in these
Drew's hair was getting to be such a pain to style, so I decided to give him a buzz for the summer. Maybe next time I won't do it quite so short (if Chris even let's me have a next time), but it's so easy!!! And I think it's cute too!
Clare goes on field trips three days a week. Every Friday they go here. How fun! She's loves her pink goggles. Of course, Clare's still into dressing up
