Are you ready for some football?

WOOHOO!!! The official start of the NFL season was a couple of weekends ago and we all put on our blue and orange and rooted for our home team, the Broncos. Unfortunately they lost. A week later though they brought home a victory against the Kansas City Chiefs. If Grandpa Willis was alive we could have had some smack-talk over that one since KC was his favorite team.

The next weekend we went to "Broomfield Days." It's a small city fair they have at the Broomfield Commons with extremely tasty (and bad for you) food and things like young girls dancing, the local gymnastics group doing a demonstration, a live band, etc...
Well, it was windy. Really windy. And we decided to share some funnel cake covered in powdered sugar. We were literally COVERED in powdered sugar. Clare loved it though and we managed to get most of it off when we were finished. Broomfield is a really nice place. It has a definite small town feel to it, which is a nice change from Orange County. It also has four seasons, which we like too. The days have started to get a little crisp and the leaves are turning. I think I like fall the best here. It's mating season for the elk, so we'll be heading up to Estes Park soon to watch and listen to the males bugle.

And to wrap things up, a picture of Clare playing with a box. It's funny how kids seem to have more fun playing with a cardboard box or some kitchen spoons then they do with the coolest toy bought at Toys R Us.
